Nantahala Hat
  • Nantahala Hat

The design of this hat was inspired by a retreat to the mountains in southwest North Carolina. We stayed at The Hawkesdene House in Andrews, which has to be one of the most wonderful trips I have ever taken.

This design is one of a collection of Mountain Retreat inspired patterns. The diamond motif represent the ruggedness of the mountains, the lace represents the elegance of The Hawkesdene House, and the rows of stockinette represent the long roads we traveled to get to our retreat.

Also included in the pattern is how to make it a slouchy hat if desired.

Uses US size 9 needles and worsted weight yarn.

This is the pattern only, not the actual hat. Instant download
